Vidhyaa is an Indian Editorial and documentary photographer based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, her work mainly focus on issue relating to women, identity and community, subjects’ experiences are integral to her approach to portraiture as she focus on their relationships with people within and outside their community, environment and capture the emotion they transmit and their surroundings.
Currently working on photography project for special need children for an exhibition for Special Olympics, which held on March 2019 at Manarat Saadiyat part of Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism, UAE.Abu Dhabi and freelancing for The National,UN Women UAE,Manarat Saadiyat Photography Studio.
Her work has been exhibited and published Capture your Freedom -United Photo Industries, FDR Park at New York and Gallery RIVAA.Roosevelt Island Visual Art Association, Black Box Gallery, Blank Wall Gallery , Vision Projects, SDN-Zeke Magazine for Women Work, Tokyo International Winner for Migrant Mothers and Transgender Projects,SDN 10th Anniversary at Bronx Centre, Finalist, Won community award for NGO,IPA honorable mentions. She was awarded as a finalist in the Renaissance exhibited in Getty Images London 2016 and Julia Margaret cameron Award at Berlin,Germany.
She has Diploma in Documentary Photography Project from Danish Media and Journalism in collaboration with World Press Photo and mentored by Noor Images at Amsterdam. MBA in Marketing, MKU, India.
Vidhyaa was chosen by photographer Selvaprakash Lakshmanan.
