Justin Maxon was born (1983) in a small town in the woods of northern California. A visual artist and journalist, his work often reveals variables of truth in humanity’s conflicted existence. He has received numerous awards for his photography. His seven year project documenting the social environment of Chester Pa, has been supported through grants from the Magnum Foundation Emergency Fund, FotoVisura, the Alexia Foundation for World Peace, and the Aaron Siskind Foundation.
His work has been exhibited widely: which includes at the Museum of Chinese Art in New York, the Museum de Arte Acarigua-Araure in Venezeula, the OneArts Space Gallery in New York, the Second Floor Gallery in London, the Bermuda National Gallery, the Singapore International Photography Festival, the Lodz Fotofestiwal in Poland, and the New York Photo Festival in Dumbo.
