Doreen Schwarz, born 1980 in Berlin (Germany), is an artist based in Braunschweig. After her first study of photography at the „FAS – Fotografie am Schiffbauerdamm“ from 2003 to 2005, she founded with a friend 2007 in Berlin the gallery- and workingspace „AFF-Atelier Freier Fotografen“. Still hungry for more influences of photography she started the study of fine arts in 2008 at the University of Art Braunschweig (Germany, Lower Saxony) and finished the study 2013 with the Diploma and in 2014 with the Master-Class.
Her work has been featured in several group exhibitions. In 2014 she has spent 2 months for a artist residency in Cairo. In January 2015 she will show her latest work in a solo exhibition at the „Kunstraum 53“ in Hildesheim (Germany, Lower Saxony).
She is mainly working with black and white-material with a focus on portrait photograph.
Doreen Schwarz was chosen by photographer Nadia Mounier.
